The property is located directly on the Lake Erie waterfront, on 1.7 acres. It is only 10 minutes from Geneva-on-the-Lake or dozens of highly rated Wineries, the closest of which, "Vincent William Wine", is only 3 minutes away. The neighborhood is full of charming lakefront houses, cottages, villas, and historical nautical style estates. Romantic and quiet, houses here have long, deep properties that offer privacy on the lakefront, creating a peaceful setting often frequented by ducks, Blue Herons, American Eagles, and seagulls.

August 2026 5.00We have been trying to stay at the Lemon Drop Cottage for a while when we came to Madison but it was always booked. Now we know why. Such a nice place. Very clean. Close to the lake. Great for sunsets. We hope to be back sometime.

August 2026 5.00We loved the location! Dan and Brenda were very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. It’s great for those looking to be near activities but far enough away that you can enjoy the peace and quiet of Lake Erie. We plan to return!

July 2026 5.00The Lemondrop cottage is charming. The vintage appliances in bright happy colors are darling. They’ve put together a helpful book with recommendations. It’s just the sweetest place. The view of the lake is spectacular. And Dan is super friendly and communicative. Would absolutely stay there again.

July 2026 5.00We had a lovely stay at Lemon Drop Cottage. The cottage is adorable, clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. It had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway, and the property is beautifully maintained. The only reason I am giving four stars instead of five is because while the property is indeed lakefront, the cottage itself sits behind another home. That said, the lakeside seating area is beautiful, and we loved spending time there. Would visit again!
